One of my goals is to design an accessories line that will include backpacks, briefcases and travel bags. The opportunity to create a self-directed project came during the SDSU Graphic Design Studio course, and I took advantage of it. I designed a bag called MYBAG. Part of the concept for the brand name MYBAG allows the opportunity to extend the line to watch and shoe design, also named MYWATCH and MYSHOES.

MYBAG is inspired by simple geometric shape and today’s mobile technology. I love leather accessories and I always tend to run out of batteries on all of the devices I carry daily. I combined these two factors together to design a product that is stylish yet solves a problem.

What makes the MYBAG products unique are their capabilities. This waterproof smart backpack not only carries your devices, it charges them. The backpack can charge up to 3 devices at once using its built-in battery pack, and when that battery runs out it can be plugged in to recharge. MYBAG comes with a power cord that can be plugged into a standard wall outlet. This bag also comes with an app that alerts the owner when their devices are done charging, and it also provides the backpack battery status, notifying when it is time to recharge. This bag comes in four different options including suede, canvas, leather and quilted leather.
