Often time’s designers are required to think outside the box and experiment with different mediums. Experimentation can lead to new discovery and influence great ideas. Not being happy with my ceiling fan, I decided to get creative using my own style of design and turned the fan into a personal canvas.

Inspired by Polynesian patterns and Jona Cerwinske’s Sharpie Lamborghini Gallardo, I hand drew patterns using  black Sharpie markers. This project also originates from the idea of taking the everyday item and turning it into a form of art and expression. Through imposing my personal essence and flair on a basic household appliance, I was able to create my own interpretation of the object.
